A LOOKING BACK!

Long time ago, a child was made to descend well-equipped into this lower region where, through the volition of mankind, Darkness reigned. The Devil, gravely perplexed from failures to ruin this child conception, had his mom poisoned during pregnancy. It was from this poisoned that the child stepped out into a life so strange, he couldn't decipher its reason. He and his mom survived the ordeal. He quickly grew up, even though, in abject poverty. He started school at about five years of age. At the onset, he intensely hated the project, because it severely curtailed his period of play and freedom. He must be tidy in appearance coming to school, which meant either a complete ablution or the washing of face and limbs to present at least a good facade. He had not many friends in school. Everyone kind of loathed him so much:
"Shuh, don't mind the bookworm o, it's only book he knows o."
"Hah, na only that one u see? The boy too yanga (psychedelic). Grass don't cut his hand, before he go cry go meet his mama."
Undaunted, he kept pace with his studies, and eventually, was admitted to a prestigious high school. But unfortunately, in his teenage, his mom died, and he was dipped into struggle. Each time he tried to move, obstacle would crawl and block his way. In the dilemma, he would remember his mom, and would cry and sing a song his mom had taught him during moon-light story:
Mama o, terena;
Terena o, tere o!
Esu pade mozeba;
O di agbami s'ona;
Ko je k'omozeba lo;
Terena o, tere o!
TRANSLATION: [Mama, come, hurry-up down. Demon's meet with your son. Turned to lake, he blocks your son from passing. Come, hurry-up down]
His mom's spirit would intervene, and he would be rescued. However, in a short-while, he would hobble into another obstacle in his pursuit. He would begin another cry, and a repeating of his song over again:
Mama o, terena;
Terena o, tere o!
Esu pade mozeba;
O di Ekun s'ona;
Ko je k'omo lo o;
Terena o, tere o!
TRANSLATION: [Mama, come, hurry-up down. Demon's meet with your son. Turned to lion, he blocks your son from passing. Come, hurry-up down]
Thence after, and in short-while, he would bump into another obstacle, and would, again, remember his mom, and would start crying and singing his song over again till he overcomes his hurdle.
